American Airlines Flight Attendant Found Dead in Her Hotel Room

A 66-year-old  American Airlines flight attendant was discovered dead in her hotel room at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott on Monday. It was claimed that she had a piece of cloth in her mouth.

The flight attendant had only planned to stay one night during her work trip, but housekeeping at the hotel found the victim two days after she was supposed to have checked out.

Although sources claim there were no indications of a forced entry and the room did not appear to have been disturbed, police are treating the victim’s death as suspicious. Additionally, no weapons were found, and no indications of a struggle were present.

‘Numerous’ medication bottles were found in the room by the investigators.

The Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on the victim, but the cause of death has not yet been made public.

On Monday night, around 10:45 p.m., housekeeping personnel reportedly entered the room where they found the body. Why hotel staff members didn’t enter the room sooner after the woman failed to check out is unknown.

Although the victim is thought to have lived in Las Vegas, police have not yet released her name.

The Los Angeles-based flight attendant “passed away suddenly” during a layover in Philadelphia, according to an internal memo from American Airlines. She had spent 25 years at the airline.

“The well-being of our team members is our top priority, and we will ensure that all those affected by this tragic loss have the support they need,” the memo said.
